London Fashion Week AW14 was a spectacular showcase of the world’s leading fashion talent!
Set over five days, the schedule is packed with shows, presentations, installations, showrooms, events and parties from some of the most influential names in the industry. Sassoon was delighted to support two designers backstage:
Edeline Lee
Inspiration: The collection was inspired by Edeline’s “teenage fantasy of New York”. Tailoring remained structured and feminine, subtle experimentation with squares, circles, loops and graphic textures added allure.
The Look: Clean, modern, abstract looped ponytails complemented the shapes in the collection.
How-To: “The hair was divided into a slick centre-part, and then carefully gathered at the nape of the neck into a ponytail and secured with an invisible band. The ponytail was then looped back into itself and pinned into place to create an ‘O’ loop. Strands are left to fall out for a relaxed and edgy finish” says Damien Peers | Sassoon Team Leader

Inspiration: A sophisticated and stylish blend of smart tailoring combined with directional silhouettes and refined detail create this immaculate collection.
The Look: A chic, modern twist to a low ponytail with a subtle nod to tribal details.
How-To: “We wanted to continue the feeling of refined detail and graphic aesthetic in the hair. The hair was parted into a low side-part which fell just over the ear; a small section was then braided using a scalp technique, creating a modern touch. The remaining hair was gathered into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and secured with a band. The finished look was delicately teased out to create a dishevelled finish” says Bruce Masefield | Sassoon Team Leader
