Paul Mitchell CEO, entrepreneur and philanthropist, John Paul DeJoria, and wife Eloise, were presented with the Ann Richards Founders Award at the annual “Feed the Peace” Awards dinner held at the Four Seasons in Austin, Texas.
The long-time humanitarians were recognised for the success of JP’s Peace, Love & Happiness Foundation, an organization they founded, which is dedicated to creating a sustainable planet through investing in people, protecting animals and conserving the environment.
“Success unshared is failure”, said JP, who always makes philanthropy paramount, supporting various charitable organizations worldwide. “Eloise and I are so honoured to receive this award from another organisation that is just as dedicated to improving the lives of others and sustaining the environment.”
As part of their tribute to the DeJorias, The Nobelity Project has also released a new short film entitled, Grow Appalachia, chronicling DeJoria’s non-profit initiative of the same name that helps Appalachian families plant a healthy future. DeJoria started the solely-funded program in 2010, which has since harvested over one million pounds of healthy, organic food for thousands of people in the region.
