Over 3,000 hairdressers and visitors from 26 countries united in London to enjoy Redken’s 2014 European Symposium which included an opening show extravaganza featuring some on the continent’s best hairdressing talents.
The inspirational Redken Symposium was held for only the second time this month on European soil, offering salon professionals the opportunity to experience three days of creative shows and technical masterclasses, as well as business building seminars conducted by some of the greatest names in global hairdressing.
The event was also a networking opportunity for Redken hairdressers to unite and share their love of the brand. The schedule incorporated a programme which helped looks at ways that the industry can grow creatively and professionally, helping hairdressers fulfill their potential the Redken legend of “Learn Better, Earn Better, Live Better”.
Symposium was also an opportunity for the Redken Tribe to get their first look at the new look Redken Styling Range which included the new Pillow Proof duo and Flex products. Redken also showcased the Pillow Proof Blow Dry Bar and the Express Color Bar which, following the launch at Lisa Shepherd last year, is rolling out in the UK. During the three day event both the Express Color Bar and Pillow Proof Blow Dry Bar were back to back with appointments to test the new in-salon experiences.
The event opened with a fantastic stage show, kicking off with Essensuals Artistic Team led by Gary France, Creative Director and Francesco Fontana, International Educational Technical Director. The show was heavily influenced by their editorial and catwalk work with and Avant Garde edge. Lisa Shepherd and her artistic team demonstrated their brilliant color expertise with models wearing the latest gorgeous pastel ombré shades. The finale came from Andrew Barton and his team whose stunning Ballet opener played homage to the Royal Opera House.
