Now that the hair spray has settled, it’s time for the most important Golden Globes assessment – who was best dressed and who sported the best ‘dos?
Style Expert Sydne Summer of Syndestyle.com chose her three favorite looks, while Joico International Creative Director Damien Carney talks about their hair and how it complimented these perfectly polished looks.
1. Naomi Watts
Sydne’s Best Dressed: Naomi, there to support her Golden Globe-nominated hubby Liev Schrieber, sure made a hot date! The slinky Tom Ford dress exuded sex appeal thanks to a perfect fit and sheer side cutouts. But the embellished chain neckline kept it classy with a bit of edge.
Damien’s Get the Look: Fresh and Easy. This hair is effortless and minimal, yet perfectly polished. It’s a look that many women would feel comfortable wearing for a special occasion.
2. Lupita Nyong’o
Sydne’s Best Dressed: Talk about making a memorable Golden Globes red carpet debut! The ’12 Years a Slave actress’ was a knockout in Ralph Lauren. Like a true fashionista, she let the bold color and cape remain the main focus by keeping accessories simple.
Damien’s Get the Look: Glam With an Edge. There’s a surge of celebrities who are cutting their hair and it’s very refreshing! This young actress demonstrates that short hair can be glamorous enough for the red carpet, and still maintain an edge!
3. Cate Blanchett
Sydne’s Best Dressed: Cate looks regal in everything she wears, especially Giorgio Armani. The sheer lace was the perfect blend of sweet and sultry and the high neckline highlighted her flawless bone structure.
Damien’s Get the Look: Curves Ahead. These are glamorous, old school curves and the look is perfect on beautiful Cate Blanchett.
