The beautiful Miley Cyrus has made many headlines this past year, for her controversial performances, outfits, and many many hairstyles!
Through the years her look has transformed entirely – making it easy to forget her days back at Disney as Hannah Montana. We’ve compiled some of Miley’s most signature and talked about hairstyles over the past years… a true metamorphosis!
Back in 2009, Miley was just a fresh-faced teen sporting her famous effortless wavy long brown hair. That same year she surprised us with plenty of blonde highlights, instantly transforming her into a bombshell. In 2010, Miley fully lightened her famous brown tresses to a light honey color and created a slight ombre with blonde at her ends. One of our favorite looks from Miley during 2011 were her long messy braids, which she showed off at many red carpet events that year. She returned to a hair color a little darker, but still kept the same long wavy hair, and blonde ends.
2012 was full of OMG moments for Miley! She shocked everyone when she revealed she cut off her famous long tresses! Miley went from a fun ombre short curly look, to a sleek straight and blonde bob! Her bob was sophisticated and a pivotal point for her style. Miley’s big hair changes did not stop there! The world gasped when Miley revealed that she had gone even shorter than her bob – she cut it all off! She showed the world just how much her style had changed. Her pixie cut was full of edge and definitely not ordinary, the side of her head was shaved, showing us her long wavy hair was a thing of the past, and she was a new person.
This past year Miley’s hair was just as controversial as her performances were! She looked chic as she rocked pompadours at many red carpet events, with a bright red pout, but her wild VMA look was one of her most outrageous hairstyles she’s ever dawned. The hair on the top of her head that she usually rocked in a pompadour was separated into two little buns on the top of her head receiving gasps from all of Hollywood! She has recently stated that she is trying to grow out her hair again and has been seen side parting her hair. Her hair style looks sleek, fun, and definitely more tame, but we can’t wait to see what hairstyle she surprises us with next!
