NRJ Awards Full of Stunning looks and Controversial Performances

Renowned artists from all over the world gathered at the 15th anniversary of the NRJ Music Awards, held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes (France). Here at Estetica we have chosen some of our favorite looks of the night!

Katy Perry was the star of the evening, drawing attention as soon as she set foot on the red carpet, thanks to her sophisticated Baroque style. The singer opted for a Osman dress from the 2013 autumn collection. White and adorned with gold floral Brocade, with asymmetrical flare and Crystal encrusted gold Christian Louboutin shoes. Katy opted to wear her hair in a high tight braid collected which revealed her eye-catching chandelier earrings and bright red lips.

The artist was awarded as ‘Best International Female Artist’ and ‘Best International Song’, thanks to her new single ‘Roar’. The buzz of the night quickly shifted from about her awards to her controversial performance when there was an audio malfunction and she had to start over again, this time live-revealing she was lip-syncing!

Necklines and transparency were the other main trends of the night, since they took over the majority of outfits that stars wore. The actress and singer French Elodie Frégé surprised with a stunning plunging neckline dress that left little room for imagination and her fiery red hair with waves, embodied a femme fatale.

The Slovak model Adriana Karembeu was among the most acclaimed of the night with a casual but very glamorous dress: a Louis Vuitton sequin mini dress. Light-colored makeup and a high collected oversized ponytail, put the finishing touch to this beautiful look.

Among the winners, the British Group One Direction was honored as ‘Best Group International of the Year’ and ‘Best Video of the Year’ for his music video ‘Best Song Ever’. Bruno Mars, James Arthur and the latest sensation of the electro-pop, Stromae, were other awardees at the ceremony.
