Buzz-worthy hairstyles and trends at the American Music Awards!

Last night’s American Music Awards 2013 was a night filled with a variation of eccentric and chic fashion and hair!

Lady Gaga managed to surprise us yet again! She entered the AMA’s in a “horse” which was really three men in a horse costume. She is well known for her outlandish fashion, but Gaga looked stunning in her Versace gown. Her long platinum blonde hair was down and very loosely curled at the ends, completing her almost fairytale look.

Miley Cyrus also made heads turn in a sleek Versus Versace pantsuit. Her plunging jacket was sexy and sophisticated. Her short hair pulled in this modern look, proving that Miley definitely knows how to keep her fans guessing on her style.

One Direction was in attendance of the AMA’s last night and the boys kept it sophisticated while staying true to their own casual cool style. Harry’s wild hair (who probably get just as much media attention as he does), was curly, full of volume, and styled to look effortless. Nial, and Louis’s hair was full of volume and texture. Liam looked sharp and sophisticated with his hair styled slick and to the side. Zayn’s hairstyle was styled a bit more shaggy, with lots of texture, completing his edgy look.

Justin Timberlake took home the first award of the night, winning favorite male pop/rock artist. He returned to the stage two more times to accept the award for favorite male soul and R&B artist and the award for favorite soul and R&B album for “The 20/20 Experience.” Justin Timberlake’s hair was styled sophisticatedly and perfectly complemented his dark blue suit, black vest, trousers, and bowtie; he looked every bit the winner he was last night.

Taylor Swift won the night’s most coveted award, artist of the year, and she looked drop-dead gorgeous while doing it! She wore a gold metallic minidress and strappy heels to complete her confident and sexy look! Her bed head hair looked amazing, her waves had tons of volume and texture!

The first-ever Icon Award was presented last night to Rihanna, by her mother! Rihanna also won the award for favorite female soul and R&B artist. Rihanna’s plunging crop top dazzled on it’s own. The risqué top was paired with a matching high-waisted skirt. Rihanna’s hair was sleek up and pinned, a really different look of the night.

Jennifer Lopez performed last night to give tribute to legend Celia Cruz, she sang songs made famous by Cruz. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail and she wore a sexy glimmering silver body suit. Her ponytail was wavy and full of texture and the perfect hairstyle for her energetic performance.

Besides the glitz & glam, there were some colorful, fun, and loud hairstyles at the AMA’s last night! Singer, Lil’ Mama, showed the world her funky blue ombre hair. Her fun bob was in loose curls and she performed with TLC. Kelly Osbourne’s dress may not have not been a favorite, but she made up for it with an eccentric futuristic hairstyle. Her purple hair was up and in a braided bun, but she also had studs weaved into her up-do as well! Ke$ha also had a buzz-worthy hairstyle! Ke$ha’s wavy pastel hair was parted in the middle and the left side of her hair was a pink/purple while the other side was a blue/green color. This trend of bright, different colors, is definitely becoming more popular amongst our celebrities. MC Lyte hair looked fierce last night, lots of volume for a short haircut, and the two-tone color looks fabulous on her!

Christina Aguilera has two fabulous looks during last night’s award show. She rocked a bright pout, and her famous voluminous platinum blond curls on the red carpet and for her performance chose a sleek updo! Her hair was in a low bon and she had a braid wrap around her head, like a head band. Her makeup was also toned down for the emotional performance.
