Getting on the Best Dressed list for the Latin Grammys 2013 is hardly an easy task, but these stars shined Thursday night effortlessly – despite Mother Nature trying to rain on their parade!
It was a star-studded event, with some of the Latin community’s biggest names – Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Leslie Grace, Enrique Iglesias, Mala Rodriguez, Gaby Moreno, and many more! The event was hosted in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, although the green carpet was cancelled due to the weather, we still have the scoop on all the fabulous looks of the night!
Roselyn Sanchez was one of our favorite’s last night. The gorgeous ‘Devious Maids’ actress showed up debuting one of the biggest trends of the night, a stunning strapless metallic gown. She wore her sleek long hair perfectly straight with a middle part, which has been a very popular modern look lately. Leslie Grace, the young Dominican bachata singer was all dolled up in a stunning gold gown that showed off her long, killer figure. She wore her hair in a romantic updo and the dangling earrings added to her elegant look of the night. For her performance of the night she sparkled in a romper covered in crystals and had her hair loose and curls everywhere.
Thursday night’s award show also marked the first U.S. appearance of the new Miss Universe, Venezuelan beauty Gabriela Isler, who dazzled in a sparkly navy blue sequin gown, her hair was all about volume last night! She wore it down and looked like a true bombshell. Ana Patricia the former Mexican beauty queen was also a powerhouse of the night, she looked fabulous in a sexy deep-plunge silver metallic gown. Ana Patricia opted for a slicked back hairstyle to complete her chic look of the night.
Genesis Rodriguez, the Cuban-Venezuelan actress looked flawless in a white dress with side cut-outs that showed off her amazing figure. She wore her sleek hair loose and to one side and completed her look with a bold rep lip. The women weren’t the only ones showing their chic style last night. Ricky Martin was one of the most acclaimed looks of the night. Ricky Martin looked handsome in a tuxedo with tail and different patterned bow tie. Ricky has a sharp new haircut – the hard-line part, which is definitely a trend that is here to stay! It was popular amongst many of our male celebrities and for good reason!
Record of the Year (for the best single) went to Marc Anthony’s salsa hit “Vivir mi vida”, who performed the single and the crowd went wild for superstar, he had the whole audience singing along and his performance really captured the energy of the event! Pitbull‘s “Echa Pa’lla (Manos Pa’rriba)” won for best urban performance and Carlos Vives took home the top honor of song of the year for “Volvi a Nacer”. It was also named best tropical song, while the album that contains it, “Corazón Profundo,” was named best tropical fusion album.
Enrique Iglesias also gave an energetic and exciting performance with Pitbull to his hit single “Baby I like it”. The night was filled with some fab looks, electric performances, and honored the best in the latin music world!
