The prestigious Rocco Donna had its major annual event last night in one of the chicest locations, Miami’s LMNT, where they celebrated the ninth edition of the Miami Hair Beauty & Fashion show, dedicated this year to the Rebel Divas!
Nine women who have been known for their style inspiration and attitude were the tributes of last night; Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Maria Felix, Frida Kahlo and Donna Summer. These nine immortal divas were paid tribute by Rocco Donna, with artistic director Leonardo Rocco, in a spectacular runway fashion, beauty and hairdressing show.
For Miami Hair Beauty & Fashion’s ninth annual show, they chose the prestigious LMNT, many celebrities, familiar faces from the world of television, show business, and fashion were in attendance. The event, organized by Rocco Donna, served to share their latest haircut, style, and make-up collection –The Amazon Collection 2014– while also sharing the latest trends in fashion. The event was filled with fashion, well-known designer Rosita Hurtado presented her menswear collection, and Cardon Collection, an Argentinian clothing brand walked the runway as well. Miami Hair Beauty & Fashion is a beauty event with a conscious and all proceeds were donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to help the fight against cancer.
The highlight of Miami Hair Beauty & Fashion 2013 was the tribute to 9 Rebel Divas, Leonardo Rocco stressed that they represent “nine extraordinary women who managed to shoot down stereotypes and prejudices to impose their own style, inspiring the lives of millions of women worldwide, in the different industries they participated throughout their lives“. With the help of Leonardo Rocco and his team, nine renowned and talented celebrities were transformed into these ‘Rebel Divas’ on the catwalk of LMNT .
They were: Marger (Donna Summer) representing the ‘Energy’, Agueda Lopez (Grace Kelly) representing the ‘Elegance’, Mariela Encarnación (Sophia Loren) representing the ‘Glamour’, Michelle Vargas (Elizabeth Taylor) representing the ‘Seduction’, Gabriela Acuna (Audrey Hepburn) representing the ‘Class’, Alessandra Villegas (Marilyn Monroe) representing the ‘Sensuality’, Scarlet Ortiz (Ava Gardner) representing the ‘Beauty’, Alejandra Espinoza (Maria Felix) representing the ‘Strength’ and Candela Ferro (Frida Kahlo) representing the ‘Passion’.
