Texas is a big state and so Dallas is the perfect venue for the “TIGI World Release”, the US gathering of more than 2000 TIGI professional stylists, colorists, educators and salon owners on October 6-8.
TIGI Founder and International Artistic Director, Anthony Mascolo was also present at the event that brought collection debuts, runway shows, break-out classes, and even a TIGI “mall” and TIGI-mingling to the eager throngs.
The ever-popular Anthony Mascolo, TIGI Founder and International Artistic Director, applies his own brilliant brand of “Creative Intelligence” in education, which includes using heart, head and hands to bring the art of hairdressing to ultimate levels. Mascolo, three-time British Hairdresser of the Year, and wife Pat Mascolo were on hand to greet participants and set the tone for this inspirational and educational event.
Monday opened with the Mascolo’s presentation of the hair collections they have worked on over the past decade, climaxing in the International Creative Team’s demonstration of cuts in the new TIGI Masterbrand Collection. One of the biggest collections to have ever been created, Mascolo and the TIGI team worked for months to research, recruit models, prepare and organize the five-day-long shoot in Iceland. USA, UK, and Italian TIGI International Creative Team members all participated, making this a truly international effort.
The day continued with an afternoon runway show that replicated a fashion show backstage milieu, during which the talented TIGI Session Team, under the brilliant direction of Global Creative Director Nick Irwin presented the looks they had already created for London and New York Fashion Week catwalks. Irwin was called upon to coif models for designers the caliber of Mara Hoffman, The Blondes, and Louise Gray.
Inspiration and education at its best! Courtesy of TIGI talent!
