Goldwell® Hair Care experts are pleased to announce the three 2013 Goldwell® Color Zoom Challenge US Finalists and the 2013 US Professional Choice Context Winners
The Color Zoom Challenge offers three categories for entries: Global Creative Colorist, Global New Talent Colorist, and Global Partnership Colorist, and many aspiring talents from all over the country submitted their work to be judged in July by a prestigious panel of industry experts. It was the job of these experts, including Modern Salon’s Maggie Mulhern, Jackie Summers from Behind The Chair, Randy Taylor of Hairbrained, and Celebrity Hair Stylist, Matthew Holman to first choose just fifteen semi-finalists to be sent on to yet another panel to choose the three winners. Not an easy task!
Now we can congratulate the 2013 winners: Global Creative Colorist Rachel Aidan, Global New Talent Colorist Julie Ann Miller, and Global Partner Colorist Derrick Zero. It is now up to these three talented colorists to participate in a live face-off against other finalists from October 5-8 at the 2013 Color Zoom International Competition in Los Angeles.
Obviously, the runners up in each category who made such a decision so difficult also deserve recognition. This year’s Silver Winners include: Harley LoBasso (Creative), Audrey Flynn (New Talent), and Tiffany Conway (Partner). Bronze Winner awards go to Robin Cook (Creative), Leah Rush (New Talent), and Michelle Rose Vance (Partner).
On another level, Goldwell brand aficionados were also hard at work picking their peer favorites! From July 1st through July 15th, fans voted online at ColorZoom13.com to choose their favorite colorist entry based on execution, cut and style, and overall creative effect.
The names of these Goldwell® Color Zoom Professional’s Choice Contest winners are: Creative Colorist Winner Harley LoBasso, first place New Talent Colorist Jennifer Correale, and top Partner Colorist Derrick Zero. This trio will each receive a complimentary 2014 academy class to further boost their techniques, including hotel and airfare.
Second and third place runners-up whose work also garnered considerable consensus were: Ashly Noel Brown and Robin Cook for Creative Colorist, Leah Rush and Terry Graham in the New Talent category, and Darren Reitberg and Michelle Rose Vance as Partner Colorist runners up. Let’s keep our sites on these talents as well!
