Two evenings of spectacular hair, star-studded stage performances and the best in entertainment
On Sunday 30 June and Monday 1 July 2013, the TIGI World Release at London’s Old Billingsgate captivated its audience for an event during which TIGI’s mantra, “By Hairdressers, For Hairdressers” could not have been a more accurate description
After more than 12 months in the making, TIGI World Release was a celebration of 10 years of Bed Head Studio and the 10th anniversary of TIGI. A hero moment came at the very start of the show when International Creative Director, Anthony Mascolo, and his wife, Pat, gave a very personal welcome to over 2,000 professional spectators and press who arrived from all over the world.
Global Creative Director, Nick Irwin, hosted the first part of the event focusing on Education. Nick presented team members from across the globe who each cut and styled a model from the TIGI Masterbrand Collection 2013 representing the key TIGI brands: Bed Head, Catwalk, S factor and B for Men. Two-time winner of British Hairdresser of the Year, Andrew Collinge, then made a special guest appearance to present one of the beautiful long-hair transformations that have turned him into a household name.
TIGI World release closed with a cosmic story featuring a futuristic presentation of models in brightly colored bobs storming the catwalk to an explosion of prismatic confetti; leaving no one in any doubt that the future promises to be full of rainbows.
