Farouk Systems, Inc. proudly announces the nomination of Basim Shami, Chief Executive Officer, to receive Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award program recognizes high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Over its 27-year history, the Entrepreneur of the Year Program has expanded globally to recognize company builders in more than 140 cities and 50 countries worldwide.
The regional finalists are nominated by an independent panels of judges that includes entrepreneurs and prominent figures from academia, business and the media. Regional finalists will be announced on Monday, May 6 while we will have to wait until the special gala event in June to discover who the winners will be.
The awards gala is the highpoint of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.

Regional award winners will later compete at the national level. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on November 16, 2013.
