Michelle Dockery’s fabulous fingerwave by Mara Roszak for Moroccanoil

Mara Roszak makes Michelle Dockery sizzle on the red carpet, thanks to Moroccanoil.

The red carpet at the  Annual Screen Actor’s Guild Award is always a great venue for divas to flaunt their latest looks.  This year, Michelle Dockery, the Downton Abbey star nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, stole the show with  a vintage Chado Ralph Rucci gown highlighted by Bulgari jewelry and a splendid coif by celebrity stylist Mara Roszak for Moroccanoil.

“Michelle’s hair is actually perfect. It’s thick, gorgeous and with a slight wave that you can enhance or smooth out. This time, I wanted to keep the wave loose and subtle, with extra shine and polish.”  But Roszak also took into consideration the overall look. “Michelle’s stunning black gown had a striking, modern elegance with a bit of edge,” explained Roszak. “As a result, we went for a stronger and more structured look, keeping it feminine and flowing.”

Kudos to Mara for coming up with a dramatic mono-finger wave that echoed the minimalist lines of her frock, transforming Michelle’s chin-length bob into a simple yet stunning red-carpet look!

Here’s how she did it!

1 – “I parted her wet hair to the side then applied Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse. It’s lightweight, holds nicely, and helps seal in moisture and prevent frizz. I didn’t want to take away Michelle’s natural wave completely, only to smooth out her texture while keeping its natural body and movement.

2 – “I used a 1-1/4” marcel curling iron and loosely wrapped random vertical sections throughout the hair, starting mid-length to ends.

3 – “After letting them sit for a few seconds, I brushed the hair lightly, then shaped the waves on one side, creating a soft bend at the ends of the hair.  I sprayed Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray on my fingers and scrunched the ends a bit so they had a slightly more lived in texture.

4 -“I smoothed the other side back for a sleek, tucked under look, and sprayed the entire style with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium. To finish, I lightly misted hair with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray to add extra shine.
