John Moroney takes over as Global VP of Goldwell and KMS California Education, while Sandra Humphries is promoted to VP of Education Kao USA Inc., Salon
Important changes taking place in the Kao Group, Salon as Cory Couts, Global President of Kao Group, Salon, announced that John Moroney, current Vice President of Education of Kao USA Inc., Salon, will succeed Debbie Biddle as the new Global VP of Education, while Trevor Attenborough, President and General Manager of Kao USA Inc., Salon announced that Sandra Humphries, current Director of Field Education of Kao USA, will step in for Moroney’s shoes as Vice President of Education of Kao USA Inc., Salon.
Debbie Biddle was with the company for over 20 years, during which she elevated the previously non-existent Global Education Department to the same level as Sales and Marketing. Couts commented: “The contributions that Debbie has made to country education in her home country of Australia and Global Education for the Salon sector still shine today. She will be sorely missed and we wish her the best of luck in the future.”
John Moroney’s brilliant 25-year-long career in the professional beauty industry had included stints as a stylist, platform artist, salon owner and educator. Couts commented, “In the past year leading our education efforts in the USA, John has proven his skills as a top-notch strategist and exceptional leader in the creative yet challenging world of educating and inspiring salons and stylists. Providing cutting-edge education is at the core of all we do and we are confident this vital endeavor will be safe in John’s hands.”
His successor, Sandra Humphries, has vast experience in the professional beauty industry, having worked as a salon manager, educator, sales manager, business development manager, and sales administration leader. Her career has brought her to work for prestigious salon product manufacturers, as well as, 17 years working for key industry leader, L’Oréal Professionnel.
Attenborough commented, “Leading our field education efforts in the past year, Sandra has consistently demonstrated that she can and will be an exceptional leader for our in country education. While John has made great strides in reinventing our education programs, I am confident that Sandra will make her own mark and continue to provide US salons the cutting-edge education that is necessary to inspire and empower stylists.”
Humphries will remain headquartered in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, while Moroney will be headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany.
