The b2b fair of beauty industry hosts one of the most important worldwide events dedicated to hairdressing.
More than 1,000 participants from more than 50 countries will be facing off at InterCHARM MILANO on October 7-8 as part of one of the most important events in the world dedicated to hairdressing and its talented professionals: the international Hairworld 2012 competition. Organised by OMC, Organisation Mondiale Coiffure, the contest is known for having brought some of the most creative hairdressers to the forefront. This year the competition will take place in the OMC Arena over a surface area of 1,000 square metres in Pavilion 4.
3D Marriage, Afro Total Look, Body Painting, Bridal Hairstyle, Bridal Make-up, Classic Cut, Creative, Day Style, Evening Style, Fantasy Hairstyle, Fantasy Nail Design, Fashion, Full Fashion Look, Hair By Night, Hair Extension, Stage Make-up e Trend Cut: these are the categories planned for the participants, many of whom will be students from the association schools of the various nations belonging to the OMC in the Premiere International School Championship. All the professionals visiting Intercharm Milano will have a remarkable opportunity to observe and learn from life platform artists performing elaborate hairdressing techniques, enrich their know-how, and discover all the basics for creating a truly total look.
“Following the success of the Individual World Hairdressing Championship of 2011, thanks to the organisation of Reed Exhibitions and the work of the Italian INAI association and its president Elio Vassena, Hairworld is returning to Italy after 8 years,” said Salvatore Fodera, President of OMC, Organisation Mondiale Coiffure – and this year will mark the launch of the International School Championship, which makes room for emerging talents, the future professionals of world hairdressing. For 2013, always at InterCharm MILANO, the European Milano OMC Europe “cup open” is already on the agenda.
OMC is awarding many trophies this year: 2012 World Best Stylist of the Year Photograph Award, Team World Cup, World Supreme and Junior Leo Passage Inspiration Trophy, Countries’ Best Competitors Award, Best Zone senior team.
The winners will be presented with their awards on Monday, 8 October at 6:30pm during the closing ceremony at the Hair Theatre – a venue with a seating capacity of 2,000 at Pavilion 2 – after the spectacular OMC Prestige Club Show sponsored by Wella and presented and directed by Irina Baranova.
