When it comes to hairstyling competitions, Sebastian Professional’s What’s Next Awards is never run of the mill.
It is instead a call to action for new and established talent setting out to establish ‘what’s next’ – cutting-edge trendsetters.
And now the competition is re-launching in September 2012 (at the New York City stop on Sebastian’s What’s Next Tour) can can be found on Sebastian’s Facebook page for easier entry and access. This year will also feature a new student category to support emerging stylists and promises bigger and better prizes for the two grand prize winners. The theme this year is multi-dimensional shine – in celebration of Sebastian’s newly amplified Flaunt Collection.
WHO CAN ENTER:
• Professional stylists who are licensed cosmetologists
• Aspiring and newly minted stylists who are either enrolled in an accredited cosmetology program or recent graduates

Professional Category:
• Round-trip airfare to New York City
• Two nights stay at hotel in NYC
• The opportunity to style backstage at New York Fashion Week with the Sebastian Design Team
• Styling a Sebastian-sponsored editorial photo shoot with a leading salon publication
New Talent/Student Category:
• Styling a Sebastian-sponsored editorial photo shoot with a leading salon publication
• One-year mentorship from a Sebastian Design Team member
• Coaching and entry sponsorship into the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) competition for 2014
• Travel and accommodations to NAHA venue if selected as a NAHA finalist
