As part of a strategy to concentrate on education and emerging artists, P&G Salon Professional has announce the appointment of Stephen Moody, one of the best-known educators in the world of professional hairdressing and 30-year veteran of the Sassoon Salon and Academy organization, as P&G Salon Professional Global Education Academy Dean.
“Stephen has fostered an incredible network of collaboration across the globe among hairdressers, salon owners and educators,” said P&G Salon Professional President Adil Mehboob-Khan. “He is poised to bring P&G Salon Professional education to the next level of excellence worldwide.”
In fact, in his new role, Moody will be responsible for developing educator training and standard protocols together with P&G North America Salon Professional Creative and Technical Director Fabio Sementilli and North America Education Director Carole Protat.
Moody was imprinted with the importance of education from a tender age, as his mother was one of Vidal Sassoon’s first students. “It was apparent to me that everyone at P&G Salon Professional is moving to be in the forefront of education,” he said. “This new role will allow me to maximize my 32 years of experience to continue to build the company’s educational momentum and to assist in elevating the bar in a craft that is so dear to me.”
Stephen Moody lives in Malibu, California, and is expected to commute regularly between North America P&G Salon Professional headquarters in Woodland Hills, California, and the P&G Global Salon Professional headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. “I am especially excited about working with Global Education Leader Michelle Mason at the world headquarters in Geneva, and of course with my colleagues Fabio and Carole in North America, to learn and to build P&G Salon Professional education,” he continued. “I can’t wait to get started.”
