Sarno Salon Systems LLC, once SureTint Technologies, announced today that John M. Hammer will be the new Chief Executive Officer. Hammer, a long-time veteran of the package goods and professional beauty industries, boasts several prestigious stints, including serving as President of Redken Laboratories and Revlon’s Professional Salon Division, as well as Executive Vice President of Sebastian International and President of Framesi USA.
During his tenure with the Redken, Hammer developed strategic focus on researching and developing hair color brands, including Shades EQ, and was instrumental in the acquisition of both American Crew and Creative Nail Design for Revlon Professional. He also helped establish Sebastian’s expansive distribution network.
Together with Mike Ross, (former Publisher of Modern Salon Magazine), Hammer developed the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) in 1989, which is now the industry’s most prestigious photographic beauty competition. Sarno Salon Systems LLC, an affiliate of The Saranow Group, LLC, markets a series of patented hair color formulation technologies, inventory control and data management. This patent-pending system is a cutting-edge development that will allow more efficient management of salon services, inventory control, colorist productivity and, perhaps most importantly, greater client satisfaction. “Sarno Salon Systems is an essential investment and technological advancement that all business-driven, savvy salon owners and colorists should not be without. It is as necessary in a salon environment as sheers are for stylists,” added Hammer.
