The One Brush Everyone Needs

Tuesday, 23 September 2014 12:28

Most stylists (and consumers) have extensive collections of brushes, and some that never even see the light of day. BUT, the Styling Brush is the one brush EVERYONE needs, whether working behind the chair or in front of the mirror at home.

The best Styling Brushes include a combination of boar and nylon bristles (FYI: Some are manufactured with just boar bristles and some with just nylon bristles). The Sam Villa Signature Series Styling has both.  Why is it so special? Let Andrew Carruthers, Director of Education for Sam Villa explain in the video below!

Brushing: Boar bristles stimulate the scalp and release natural oils in the hair – resulting in shinier hair.

Blow Drying: Nylon bristles gently capture and pull hair into the boar bristles imparting thorough tension for directional blow drying. And, the arched-shaped bristle cushion gives a loose wave texture to the hair vs. a tighter wave with a round brush.

Smoothing Up Styles: It is ‘THE’ go-to brush for session and editorial stylists because nylon bristles work magic for smoothing, back combing and polishing hair without disturbing the foundation.

Basically, Styling Brushes do it ALL!
