Oscars 2015: The Winning Looks from the Red Carpet!

Hollywood celebrates the 87th edition of the Oscars amid musical numbers, a red carpet dream, and, of course, the most coveted golden statue. Do not miss our gallery!

Actor Neil Patrick Harris former “How I Met Your Mother” cast member was in charge of directing the star studded event in which the film “Birdman,” was the big winner of the night taking home four awards including Best Film, Best Original Screenplay and Best Director was given to Mexican native, Alejandro González Iñárritu.

The Grand Budapest Hotel”, directed by Wes Anderson, was also awarded four Oscars, but in technical categories (including Best Makeup and Hair!), while the other big favorites of the evening, "Boyhood", was left with only one Oscar, which succeeded Patricia Arquette as Best Supporting Actress.

Eddie Redmayne won the Oscar for Best Actor for “The Theory of Everything," which is based on the story of Stephen Hawking. While Julianne Moore had something similar to celebrate as well as she took the Oscar for Best Actress for “Still Alice,” who she plaid a teacher suffering from Alzheimer.

THE RED CARPET

Elegance was the tone on the red carpet as it was promised to be different from the previous. Under the slogan #AskHerMore, many actresses criticized the media and asked to not be asked for the source of their dresses. So that they can speak more work and less of designers, but that did not stop everyone at the fashion and hairstyle paraded at one of the most important events of the year.

As far as hair was concerned the the looks were polished finishes but still a little bit of a sense of carefreeness like Jennifer Lopez, Jenna Dewan Tatum or model Behati Prinsloo. There were also those who wore low collected pinned up hair, like the Oscar winner Julianne Moore, and nominated actress Marion Cotillard, while other manes, among which highlighted expressed pure sophistication like Gwyneth Paltrow.
