Rob The Original: heads are a canvas to paint!

Thursday, 04 September 2014 18:15

From James Dean to Robin Williams. From Ninja Turtles to the Statue of Liberty. For Rob Ferrel, The Original, cutting hair is an art to live to the fullest!

Hair used to be molded to art is well known. But when the head becomes a canvas on which to sculpt the faces of the international jet setters or complicated designs then you can really talk about hair-artist. And this is what defines Rob Ferrel, better known as Rob The Original, the barber-artist who sets himself apart with his original and novel work…

The artist/barber native of Los Angeles has a small salon in San Antonio, Texas, but his cuts are going around the web and behind the door of his shop the queue is getting longer and longer. Combining his passion and his graphic design studies plus his hairstyling skills, Rob is able to reproduce on the head of his customers every type of design wanted: from superheroes to sporting heroes, characters from the world of entertainment or even the Ninja Turtles...

The masterpieces of Rob The Original, are posted on Facebook and Instagram, but for those who are even more curious, you can find it on YouTube and on the website of the artist www.robtheoriginal.com
