Anne Bowen’s Spring 2013 Bridal Fashion Week New York show was even more romantic thanks to Paul Mitchell® artist Brian C. Hawkins's textured chignons, ponytails and loose, flowing romantic waves.

Today's brides are always elegant, but the trend seems to be leaning towards less perfection and a more natural and slightly undone look that is truer to the bride's own personality. Hawkins used products from the Awapuhi Wild Ginger® line to prep his looks, working with HydroCream Whip™ to create a base and get the desired texture and Styling Treatment Oil™ to make sure the hair was soft and shiney. After all,"naturally undone" doesn't necessary mean frizzy. Hawkins also relied on Texturizing Sea Spray™ to get a soft, feminine feel without leaving the hair stiff.

“The romantic theme has taken center stage,” Hawkins advised. “The days of contrived, very detailed hairstyles have been put aside, at least for now. Brides want to feel very comfortable and relaxed, but feminine and sexy at the same time. These are hairstyles that women could even wear to a girl’s night out party. To sum it up, less is more.”
