Get the Look! How To: DWTS’ Peta Murgatroyd Braids by Matrix Artistic Director Daniel Roldan

Friday, 18 November 2016 01:05

Matrix Artistic Director Daniel Roldan styled Dancing With the Stars dancer Peta Murgatroyd on Friday for her press days. Daniel used Matrix Oil Wonders and Style Link line in order to achieve her look. Learn HOW TO!

Peta Murgatroyd’s Wraparound Dutch Braid:

1. Apply Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose Mousse ($20, matrix.com) to mid length and ends of damp hair. Rough dry.
2. Once dry, spray Matrix Style Link Heat Buffer ($18, matrix.com) and softly micro crimp the hair. Crimping the hair allows for controlled texture, gives it a thicker feeling and better hold when braiding.
3. Create a side part in the hair and begin Dutch braiding along the hairline. Continue until all hair is braided. Secure with pins, pull and expand –or pancake– the braid. Lock in with Matrix Style Link Style Fixer Finishing Hairspray ($18, matrix.com).
