Get the Look! Ciara's Bohemian Waves by Cesar Ramirez for Mizani

Tuesday, 07 June 2016 18:12

Last night, MIZANI Global Artistic Director Cesar Ramirez styled singer Ciara for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards. See below on how to get the look using MIZANI!

"I was really inspired by the bohemian feel of Ciara's Cavalli dress. I also wanted the hair to match the bohemian look, so I kept it soft and just added a different texture then our usual styles," says MIZANI Global Artistic Director Cesar Ramirez.

– Cesar started on dry hair and parted it in four sections. He then lightly sprayed MIZANI's HRM Humidity Resistant Mist on each section. This spray helps to protect the hair against the formation of split ends and frizziness.
– Next,  he braided each section and proceeded to flat iron the braid. This creates added texture and a slight wave.
– Once Cesar had the texture he wanted, he then tucked and pinned each side behind each ear. Leaving a small section of hair in front of each ear.
– To set the look, Cesar added more HRM spray for a weightless hold while also providing a UV filter to Ciara's hair.
