HVA3 Hairbrained Video Awards Party – Uplifting & Wild!

Whether you attended the wild and raucous HVA3 party, or cheered for your favorite nominees from your hometown, the collective anticipation that surrounds this annual event has come to a crescendo – and has reached it’s final conclusion.

Over the weekend, the Hairbrained community came together in New York City to honor the craft hairdressing movement, and the heart-filled short films, which represent the spirit of the growing HB community.

HVA Trophy Winners were honored and prizes awarded in New York at an event Sunday at the Arena Night Club in collaboration with IBS New York. All of the videos posted last year, from January 1st and through the end of 2015, were considered for the HVA3 nomination. A panel of judges chose from the nominees, and selected a winner in each category, as well as an overall Grand Prize Winner!

Ranging in tone from informative to avant-garde, these videos are always long on creativity, and never short on inspiration.

HVA winners received much needed funding to aid in the production of future projects, like cash prizes including a grand prize of $5,000 for the HVA Video of The Year!

Acting as a catalyst for change within our community, these films are indicative of a new movement. A movement that resists stagnation, bucks the status quo – and refuses to take no for an answer.
