American Crew celebrates 2014-2015 U.S. All-Star Challenge Winner

American Crew, the professional leader in men’s grooming, announced Alyssa Brasket, from The Barbers in Vancouver, WA the 2014-2015 U.S. All-Star Challenge Winner.

The All-Star Challenge is an annual global competition that celebrates stylists from around the world and challenges them to create styles that are modern, expressive and embody the vision of the American Crew man. Alyssa has been a key player in Vancouver’s grooming space for the past nine years and is recognized for her ability to create classic looks with a trendy edge. Drawing inspiration from classic style icons of the past, Alyssa paired timeless length with a modern flare for her winning look.

The American Crew All-Star Challenge is widely considered one of the top men’s grooming competitions. The Challenge focuses on the art of men’s grooming – creativity, technique and one’s interpretation of masculinity in the modern world.

Entrants cut and styled a male model with American Crew products and submitted photos to a judging panel of industry experts who selected the winner based on technique, styling and individual inspiration for a modern, masculine look. The 2014-2015 U.S. All Star Challenge judging panel consisted of: American Crew Artistic Director Paul Wilson; Men’s Fitness Style and Grooming Editor Barret Wertz; MaleStandard.com Co-Founder Victor Macias.

Alyssa was named the 2014-2015 American Crew U.S. All-Star Challenge Winner at the International Salon and Spa Expo Long Beach on Sunday, January 25th. The winner received her award on stage from Revlon Professional Brands U.S. General Manager Marty Flaherty, American Crew U.S. Brand Manager Kevin Grieve and Estetica USA General Manager Sergi Bancells. Alyssa won a $5,000 monetary prize, recognition in a 2015 professional salon magazine advertisement and inclusion in the 2016 American Crew Style Selector, a compilation of the Brand’s annual cut/style collection.

Alyssa will represent the United States as one of 15 finalists chosen to compete in the global 2014-2015 American Crew All-Star Challenge held in Rome, April 20th, 2015.
