The Wait is Over... Redken Presents the 2015 Symposium!

Friday, 16 January 2015 15:48

In a few short days, the industry’s leading educators, stylists and colorists from around the world will gather in Las Vegas for what promises to be the largest and most successful industry event of its kind yet, Redken Symposium 2015.

Attracting nearly 10,000 beauty professionals ranging from novices to A-list celebrity colorists, the three day education event will cover everything related to the multi-billion dollar haircare industry and sneak peeks of the newest products, technologies and innovations that Redken has to offer.

With panels ranging from how to handle coloring mishaps and demanding celebrity clients, led by Redken Celebrity Colorist Tracey Cunningham and Redken Master Colorist David Stanko, to an expert panel on how social media is impacting salons’ businesses, the Redken Symposium provides the knowledge, inspiration and business skills needed to “learn better, earn better, and live better” and ultimately strengthen one’s techniques and a build a more successful salon.

This bi-annual event is an incredible opportunity to have the most creative and powerful professionals working together under one roof to further shape this industry,” says Sheri Doss, VP Education, Redken Worldwide. “In June, the industry lost one of its greatest pioneers, Redken co-founder Paula Kent Meehan. Our hope this January as we celebrate our 37th year of Symposium is to reflect upon how far the salon industry has come since the days of Paula’s Amino Pon Shampoo and, together, prepare for where we are headed.”

Available for the first time ever and only at Symposium is the new Redken Symposium 2015 app, providing a personalized experience for every attendee that delivers up-to-date program information, user-specific customized content and the opportunity to digitally interact with the brand in a new way. After registering for Symposium, attendees are able to build their own class schedule tailored to their specific interests within the salon professional industry including Color, Design, Styling & Finishing, Total Look and Future Vision. On-site using the Symposium app, stylists and colorists will receive real-time information about their classes and special events, bios for class facilitators, and the ability to ask questions to facilitators directly within the app.

Throughout the two days, salon professionals will have the opportunity to sit-in on over 25 classes and panels led by leading global educators including Redken Education Artistic Director Kris Sorbie who will host “The Worldwide Color Movement” alongside several leading Redken Artists, and Redken Education Artistic Director Sam Villa who will take the stage with Redken Artist Chris Baran for the first time in 12 years to host “Legendary Designs”.
