Mikel Luzea and Yaellagazelle star in an exclusive hairdressing show for NYFW

The latest collection of the Spanish hairstylist showcases dresses by the designer Yaël Barnatán, daughter of Elena Benarroch. The event will take place Sept 4th in Manhattan and will feature the exclusive sponsorship of Revlon Professional.

In La Nacional – headquarters of the Spanish Benevolent Society in New York, Mikel Luzea will present his latest collection in hair cutting and styling. This event will bring together a large representation of the international press, VIPs, bloggers as well as influencers in the world of beauty and fashion, since this week is the most celebrated week for Fashion, New York Fashion Week. The event will stage the perfect fusion between fashion and hairdressing in a unique, never-before-seen scenario.

For Mikel Luzea, a coveted Spanish hairdresser with one of the greatest international projections, this show is "a unique opportunity" to spread the Spanish Hairdressing work around the world and a very important challenge in his career. "Usually the hairdressing fashion plays a secondary role. With this show, the hair will be on the spotlight as well, to serve as a luxury complement". Avant-garde creations on Yaellagazelle of the Yaël Barnatán designer furs, will accompany Mikel in this presentation that will present risky styles and his proposal for fashionable hair for the season.

Yaellagazelle is the youngest line of Elena Benarroch. It’s creator, Yaël Barnatán, treats fabric as if it was paper and her origami collections are versatile, outlined in Ethereal silhouettes of defined identity. Their clothes are always full of vivid color, avant-garde designs and are priced low cost. Handmade in a workshop with more than 20 years of experience, and with first quality materials, all of her clothes are... reversible! In her collection for 2015, Yaël presents a collection of urban and an eclectic mix of textures with African influences in her reversible coats.
