Farewell to Aldo Coppola, the Italian Hairdressing Master

Aldo Coppola, a renowned Maestro in the world of hairdressing, has lost his long-time battle with cancer.

Aldo Coppola passed away at his home in Milan at the age of 73, after a long battle with prostate cancer. Coppola wrote many pages of hairdressing history with his talent for enhancing the beauty of stars like Sofia Loren, Monica Bellucci, and Linda Evangelista, rising quickly to the ranks of beauty guru.

His last public appearance was on the stage of the event organized by L’Oréal Professionnel about a year ago, when Aldo “co-starred” with Jean-Luc Minetti. As always, Coppola was in fine form, thrilling the audience with his skills and charisma, earning himself an emotional standing ovation.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, 23 November in Milan, in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, at 11 o’clock.

As a protagonist of international fashion campaigns and magazine covers, Aldo personified talent and versatility to the point of inspiring a cover of Estetica during the year 2000 featuring a portrait in the style of Andy Warhol.

Estetica pays tribute to him throughout the day with pictures, show, interviews on our Facebook Fan Page and international websites.
