Become What You Imagine: Eufora Global Connection 2019

Eufora International has never been the typical salon professional haircare brand and their 2019 Global Connection was not the typical industry event.

More than 1,200 salon professionals from North America, the UK and Japan gathered at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego, CA for two days of educational events and inspirational retrospectives that encouraged every individual to “become what you imagine.”

As one of the last independent, family-owned, salon professional haircare brands, co-founder and CEO, Beth Bewley, kicked off the event by pledging her commitment to serve hairdressers in every way possible, a mantra that the company has maintained since their founding in 1997. Next up was keynote speaker, business strategist and graffiti artist Erik Wahl who captivated the audience by not just sharing, but demonstrating, how creativity and artistry can help to lead to business success.

The morning concluded with the company highlighting one of its most valuable assets – its’ people – through individual inspirational vignettes.

I was driving to work listening to a story about someone who had overcome great adversity in their life who then rose above it to become not just successful but an inspiration to so many and I had an ‘ah-ha’ moment,” said Eufora co-founder, Beth Bewley. “It’s the unexpected defining moments in our lives that make us who we are. The struggles we face and overcoming challenges, and even the chance encounters with strangers that chart the course of our lives. I knew the main stage opening show for Global Connection needed to be more than just another expected runway show with great hair. I wanted the presentation to inspire the audience, just as I had been inspired by the story I heard.

Five Eufora National Trainers shared their own personal journeys to becoming successful hair stylists during the first morning main stage show. Stories included overcoming adversity, embracing cultural differences, and even escaping international conflict zones to go onto a career rebirth after serving in the military. Each vignette opened with a video and ended with the stylists showcasing their skill and artistry through live models that brought their story to life.

Day one concluded with a black-tie gala where Eufora named their 2019 Stylists of the Year winners and Creative Director, Philip Carreon and his Eufora team, brought to life his latest inspiration, “Urban Angels”, through a breathtaking production that featured multi-media, performance artists and two dozen models that were inspired by the Spring Eufora Collection – ethereal, yet street-chic, “Urban Angels.”

Day two runway presentations started with the UK Team lead by Eufora UK Style Director, Neil Smith, who was inspired by British fashion through the ages, and the day concluded with a show-stopping Eufora HERO for Men runway production led by Dana Caschetta and Julie Cross.

Throughout the two days, stylists and salon owners were also treated to technical breakouts and business building classes. The event served as a networking opportunity for top stylists and colorists, and key topics included growing social platforms and making meaningful connections.

Additionally, Eufora brought together their top distributors and sales team members. Distributors met pre-event for two days of strategic business planning and goal setting, while the Distinction Sales Group attended general sessions and break outs designed to improve their personal skill sets, challenge them to achieve goals and reignite their passion for Eufora.
