Spanish Hair Legend Raffel Pages joins Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof

Friday, 10 March 2017 04:37

The famous Spanish hairdresser will be one of the stars at the Estetica Master Parade By Cosmoprof, next March 19th 2017 in Bologna, for the 50th anniversary of Cosmoprof.

Invertir, Investigar, Intuir e Innovar (investments, research, intuition, and innovation) are the four I’s to success according to Raffel Pages. Investing in new projects and taking risks, researching to identify new techniques, but also having the courage to propose something new and innovative.

Fresh, innovative, and urban, his passion involves anything to do with creativity, paintings, sculpting... and obviously cutting hair. According to Pages, only if you have a mind that is open to everything that represents beauty can you approach art.

Born in a family of hairdressers, amidst curlers, shears, and hairspray, Raffel Pages had the great opportunity, in the 1960's, to work next to Rosy Carita, in her Paris salon, one of the best in the world at that time.

When he returned from Paris in 1975, he opened his first salon in Barcelona at n.16 Calle Reina Elisenda. Over the following years he opened another 6. Thanks to the success of his first salon, he began collaborating with advertising campaigns, fashion magazines, and hair product companies, becoming an international ambassador for L’Oréal Paris. But it was during the Olympics in Barcelona, in 1992, that Raffel launched his biggest product, which succeeded in expanding his brand: the Instituto de Perfeccionamiento Raffel Pages, a training centre initially targeting his own employees and today is open to any salon professional.

Today the brand counts 83 salons in Spain and a is among the ten leading coiffure companies in the entire world.

His love for art and antiques has brought Raffel Pages to collect, for more than 30 years, objects related to the world of hairdressing: 7,000 pieces are today on display in his museum in Barcelona, the Museum of Hairdressing History, which traces the evolution of all things coiffure.

Raffel Pages will be one of the stars of Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof next March 19th 2017 in Bologna: hairstylists of international fame will outline the history of coiffure from the ’60s until 2020.
