Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof: The Sixties with Mark Hayes @ Sassoon

The International Creative Director of Sassoon will interpret the 1960s in the Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof. Check it out!

More than a hairdresser, but a creator of styles, from the Beatles to Mary Quant, Vidal Sassoon revolutionized the world with a pair of scissors. His short smooth cuts and geometrics made history during the 1960s. Immediately considered scandalous, his bobs have since become a classic in the world of hairdressing, the very foundation of modern coiffure. And what can be said of the famous five point cut?

Vidal Sassoon created a look that was representative of all times: it reflected the skyscrapers of cities and the styling of the space age he lived in,” explained Mark Hayes, International Creative Director of Sassoon. “Initially inspired by the Bauhaus, the style was absolutely revolutionary. It was architecture applied to the human element. That look was then reinterpreted in a series of techniques that today are still the basis of the modern method of cutting hair,” Mark added, when asked to comment on the five point cut invented by Vidal Sassoon during the 1960s. And this is the actual decade that Mark Hayes will interpret on the stage of Estetica Master Parade by Cosmoprof, on March 19th, 2017 in Bologna, Italy.

For the 50th anniversary of Cosmoprof Bologna, Estetica Master Parade combines the creativity of  8 international hairdressers, who will retrace the history of coiffure from the 1960s and anticipate the trends of the future. Learn more here!
