Johnny Ramirez & Anh Co Tran celebrate at L’Oréal Professionnel’s Hair Fashion Night in Miami

L’Oréal Professionnel and its International Stylists, Johnny Ramirez and Anh Co Tran headed to sunny Miami for Swim Week! The two industry icons celebrated the launch of their A.R.T Academy with an educational seminar as well as complimentary styling sessions to the fashionistas that made their way to Miami’s famous swimwear trade show.

Johnny & Anh supported L’Oréal Professionnel as the brand as seasoned Miami hairdressers treated Miami women to complimentary hair sessions at the W Hotel South Beach during the Hammock Show for the brand’s “Hair Fashion Night” festivities.

I think Miami is such a great place to do this because there are a lot of hairdressers here and it feels like we need to hit this market, which is one that has not been touched too much yet,” said Ahn Co. “These courses are not just about hairstyling, it is about social media, how to take pictures, how to do better in business, which is about the big picture, not just hair itself.

Tran and Ramirez know success in hair – and it doesn’t end at cut and color. Their celebrity clients include Jessica Alba, Sophia Bush, Riley Keough, Chloe Grace Moritz, Liv Tyler and Anne Hathaway. Under their guidance, hairdressers will discover innovative and progressive techniques that take traditional hairstyling beyond their iconic look; something wearable but always fabulous.

Before the academy, we got emails, messages, on Facebook or Instagram asking, ‘how do you do this?’ and it really hit a chord for me, and that’s what really made me want to give it back,” said Johnny. “I dropped out of school in the eighth grade, so it made me think that there must be other people who have a story similar to mine.”

Hair Fashion Night guest enjoyed one-on-one, personalized appointments with Miami’s top hairdressers for a long weekend of complimentary styling, professional tips for their specific hair types and needs and education on the season’s hottest hair trends. The three-day activation was open to the public with styling sessions available on first-come bases.

Housed at Miami Swim’s popular upscale trade show, Hammock, Hair Fashion Night is a celebration of artistry and style that aims to reignite men’s and women’s desire to visit the salon.

L’Oréal Professionnel hopes to continue empowering the hairdresser while connecting consumers with the best and brightest professionals in their cities through hands-on events like Hair Fashion Night.
