Asian Extravaganza: Davines presents Hair on Stage Bangkok

After Madrid, Istanbul, Bologna and Lima, the great Davines Hair on Stage (HoS) event will be in Asia for the first time on November, 14-16, 2016!

The capital of Thailand, Bangkok, will welcome Davines customers on November 14 to offer them new unprecedented inspiration. The exotic yet ultra-metropolitan atmosphere, the charm of Buddhist temples, the possibility of going shopping, tasting unusual foods and diving into an intense and fascinating city will give rise to a combination of emotions culminating in truly special moments.

The venue of the event will be Asiatique The Riverfront, the largest lifestyle project in Asia, on the banks of the river Chao Phraya.

The kick-off of HoS will be party that will gather all the guests to celebrate Loy Krathong, i.e. “The Festival of Lights”, a charming celebration held during the full-moon night which fills the river and sky with lights. The following day will then see the stage performance of the top names in hairstyling. Starting from Davines International Artistic Director Angelo Seminara. Star of the international hairstyling scenario, Italian in origin but British in deed, Angelo knows how to inspire hairdressers worldwide with his creative strength and his immense passion for beauty.

The thrilling success story of Kim Robinson has instead established itself in Hong Kong, where he has become the symbol of style known throughout Asia and beyond, by some of the world’s most beautiful women. For Davines North America Master Session Stylist, Joseph DiMaggio: the king in the backstage of New York fashion shows, he is the stylist of editorial projects and professional training sessions. One of Davines’ most appreciated and requested educators.

The Carlton Hair Creative Team is headed by 2013 Davines World Style Contest winner, Christilene Erasmus-Bush. Their mission is to provide a platform of supreme professionalism from which the stylist can operate to achieve unrivalled status in the industry, thereby ensuring the finest standards in hairdressing. As the biggest hairdressing company in South Africa with over 500 employees and 23 salons, they see to over 22,000 clients a month. The academy offers 5 academies and teaches over 250 students a year.

Then it will be the turn of the stylists of the Rikyu salon to take to the stage. Located in the heart of Bangkok, it is a perfect synthesis of Japanese and Thai creativity and culture. The brand was indeed founded in Tokyo in 1970 by Masayuki Mogi, Art Director of Vidal Sassoon.

The 15th of November will end under the banner of amusement, relaxation and sharing with the Bangkok Boat Party on the Chao Phraya River. Guests will have the chance to enjoy classical local dances, but also to let their hair down to pop and jazz. European, Japanese, Thai and international cuisine will be served for the buffet.

Last but not least, the master-classes of November 16th will see Angelo Seminara and Joseph DiMaggio present their Fall/Winter 2017 Collections on two separate and exclusive occasions. A true full immersion in new hair trends, and in the philosophy and techniques behind them!
