The Steamy Countdown to Beauty and the Barber Begins!

In less than 24 hours stylists will migrate to Miami’s Doubletree Hotel for the chance to celebrate those who dedicate, or hope to dedicate their lives to the concept of beauty in a professional level at the Miami’s Beauty and the Beast Expo (Sunday, December 6th).

This is the second event hosted by Beauty Schools of America and the goal is to make this show a prime location in the beauty industry. Such was the splash last year that Christopher Dove and John C. Simpson are joining the game and co-hosting the upcoming tradeshow.

They are emphasizing on education this year bringing 9 celebrity professionals will share their secrets to stardom and how to make your business a success. The one-day beauty and barbering trade event is centered on educational panels with national industry professionals Kristi Faulkner, Omar Antonio, and Danny Amorim. Pacinos the Barber will be presenting marketing and branding techniques for the audience, and DL Master Barber is set to share his secrets of efficiency and wits on how to build wealth from “behind the chair.” A more artistic Lena Piccininni will give her course on the ins and outs of blending and fading techniques.

Estetica USA will be covering the event from start to finish; documenting the hottest trends, looks and tips to grow your business. Stay connected to our inner circle tomorrow for the tropical celebration of beauty education by Beauty Schools of America, the beauty institution that has dedicated itself to host this prime celebration.

We did it the same week as Art Basel on purpose,” said Ary Cardona, Director of Events & Student Facilitation at BSA. “When we think of Beauty and the Barber, we are thinking of the artist. And artist means you create an art, you dispose of an art, you service an art. So if you’re a hair artist, a graffiti artist, a gallery artist, this event is significant to the whole concept of creation.”

Beauty and the Barber is the next staple of Miami in the Beauty Industry, hosted on Art Week in Miami, so that the beauty artists can also get their recognition on this week where all forms of art are celebrated. The competition categories are open to industry professionals and students, where they can showcase their talent in: Fashion Editorial Makeup, Avant Garde, FX/Theatrical Character, Artists Choice Creature or Cosplay Special Effects Makeup, and Body Paint. Barber categories include; Fastest Fade, Free Style and Fade with beard.

Over 80 vendors will be present, offering highly curated brands and companies in the professional spa, hairdressing, barbering or make up industries. Each vendor will either sell their product or have demonstrations for attendees. A variety of classes will be offered that are not offered in a traditional school curriculum, such as how to build your clientele, posture, chiropractors, and really any topic that may be related to the profession. In the show BSA plan on having a panelist, Pacinos the Barber, that plans to speak on marketing strategies and how to grow your business from behind the chair.

Interested attendees can STILL purchase a $35 general admission ticket online and at the following Beauty Schools of America campuses: Homestead, Hialeah, North Miami Beach, South Beach and Miami –  doors open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm at the DoubleTree Miami Airport & Convention Center, 711 NW 72nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, 33126.
