How To: Rubicorn – Personalising Lilac Hair to your Client!

Friday, 08 February 2019 11:48

You’re gonna love Riawna Capri’s newest take on unicorn hair when she colored her good friend Ruby Rose’s hair this week!

I wanted to go beyond the traditional blonde or brunette for Ruby, we wanted to have fun with her color!

I created this “violet moon” color for her a few weeks ago, which was easier to achieve as her hair was already bleach blonde. This time, we wanted to take it a step further... Rubicorn!

To channel Ruby’s inner unicorn, I added lilac/lavender on the bottom and top roots, tipped it out with sapphire blue (diluted) and soft pink for the front piece to make her color truly unique!

Pastels like lilac will only take to super blonde hair. Make sure your hair is healthy before bleaching it. It may take more than one appointment to slowly bring your hair to this pastel trend.
