Understatement, Made in the USA by Matthew Morris

Saturday, 08 March 2014 18:32

A mixture of cool and warm tones for this Denver salon, where industrial and natural styles merge for an original effect.

Matthew Morris started a career in sculpture and design before making his debut in the beauty world as a make up artist – from there, Morris quickly achieved success in the hairdressing industry thanks to his skill in finding the right look for each of his clients. His new salon in Denver has already received rave reviews from many trade publications and is acknowledged to be one of the top salons in Colorado.

Classic style merges with avant-garde soul in a loft which is lit by large windows around an open space location comprising the shampoo and technical areas as well as a Men’s Corner. One of the salon’s distinctive features is its use of wheeled trolleys as workstations, as well as a combination of untreated wood with resin, steel and chandeliers.

It’s an informal space, but with decidedly professional services – hairdressing with Kérastase Paris and L’Oréal Professionnel, make-up and beauty treatments by a team of professionals.
